General
- Your nightly rates include unlimited kilometres, GST, and insurance
- All cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery (as per standard inclusion list) are supplied. Freshly laundered linen can be hired on request.
- Smoking or pets not permitted in the campervans
- Hirer and driver must be over 21 years of age and driver must hold a current drivers licence.
Bookings and Deposit
A deposit of two nights hire is required to secure your booking, and is part of the hire charge. This must be received within 2 weeks of making a booking. The balance of hire is due on pick up of the vehicle. This can be paid by cash, credit card or direct deposit.
Insurance
You are fully insured against accident damage or loss of contents (excluding personal belongings). There is an excess deductible of $1,200 for drivers over 25 (refer bond/insurance excess if you are between 21 and 25). Refer to Bond/Insurance Excess for payment options.This covers the cost of damage to third party, property or to the rented vehicle, but does not include windscreen or tyre damage. We recommend that you have personal travel insurance while travelling.
Bond/Insurance Excess
If you are over 25, the bond/insurance excess for any accident which may occur during your holiday is $1,200. If you are aged 21-25 the bond/insurance excess is $1,700. This is refundable should there be no damage to the campervan and the campervan is in a reasonable state of cleanliness on the termination of the hire. We do not deduct the bond from the credit card but merely hold the authority to deduct it in the event of damage to the vehicle. Where a credit card is not available, a cash bond must be paid prior to commencement of hire and will be held for 10 days following hire.
Alternatively for hire periods of seven days or more the insurance excess can be reduced to $500 by paying $25 (non-refundable) per night in addition to your nightly rate (to a maximum of $300). We do not deduct the remaining $500 excess from the credit card but merely hold the authority to deduct it in the event of damage to the vehicle. Where a credit card is not available, the remaining $500 insurance excess must be paid prior to commencement of hire and will be held for 10 days following hire.
Hire Period
Rates are charged on a per night basis. If you pick up your vehicle on a Monday and return it the following Sunday the hire is calculated as a 6 night rental. Pick up and drop off times are arranged prior to collection, and are ordinarily between 10am and 2pm. If a vehicle is returned later than the agreed time on the final day, you may be charged an additional nights hire. Each night after the final hire day, that the vehicle is not returned, you will be charged an additional nights hire as well as a fifty dollar penalty per night.
Refunds are not available if the campervan is returned earlier than agreed.
Fuel
All vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel at the start of hire, and must be returned with a full tank at the end of your hire, otherwise a refuelling fee of NZD$2.50 per litre will apply.

AA Nationwide 24 hour free call helpline is available should you require assistance.
Driving Infringements
We reserve the right to charge the hirer for any speeding or parking fines, associated administration costs and/or accidents including third party property damaged and not reported on return of the campervan. The administration fee per fine will be NZD$60.

Please note that we do not permit our vehicles to travel on the following roads:
Ninety Mile Beach (Northland)
Tapu – Coroglen Road (Coromandel Peninsula)
North of Colville township (Coromandel Peninsula)
Ball Hutt Road (Mt Cook)
Skippers Canyon Road (Queenstown)
Cancellation Policy
If your confirmed booking is cancelled prior to 14 days of the date of hire, we will refund your deposit in full. The deposit is forfeited if bookings are cancelled within 14 days of the hire date (departure).
